Role description
Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Senior Marketing & Communications Executive will implement all marketing campaign activity for Kicks’ portfolio of music festivals, in line with the strategy for 2025. The Marketing & Communications Executive will work collaboratively with the whole Marketing, Brand & Product team.
The main accountabilities of the Senior Marketing & Communications Executive include:
- Create & implement innovative and creative marketing campaigns for Kicks’ music festival portfolio, in line with the marketing strategy for each event
- Develop & deliver the content of digital marketing campaigns ensuring the campaigns are relevant, targeted, and written in the relevant brand’s tone of voice.
- Manage the campaign planner for each event, ensuring key milestones are delivered to deadline and to budget
- Contribute to all content deliverables of the marketing campaign to ensure key milestones are delivered to deadline and to budget
- Coordinate the production of all campaign assets to deadline, working closely with the Brand & Content team and creative agencies to ensure our timelines are met.
- Assist in managing festival inboxes to liaise with event customers, ensuring their questions are answered in a helpful and timely manner
- Build, write and send eDM campaigns, with the support of the Brand & Content Team
- Assist with managing key suppliers, including the PR, Web and Digital agencies for each campaign
- Manage onsite event communications across email, web and app, with input from the Brand + Artist Manager, and Marketing & Communications Manager
- Write the event website content – ensuring it is correct, and is optimised for SEO and analytics
- Assess and identify areas for improvement in customer journey from first brand awareness through to engagement with event marketing, ticket purchase, interaction in comms, event attendance and through to post event experience.
- Monitor and track competitor and market activities.
You will bring the following to the role:
- 4+ years marketing experience and with a strong understanding of digital
- Solid marketing experience covering the full breadth of the marketing mix including social advertising, digital marketing, publicity, CRM and promotions
- Experience using email service providers like Mailchimp, Braze, Klaviyo or similar
- Excellent analytical & reporting skills, experienced in using data to inform marketing decisions
- Strong level of digital & social media marketing skills, including experience with Google AdWords, Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager
- Is excited by innovation in the marketing landscape and creating ways to implement new ways of doing things
- Excellent attention to detail & exceptional oral and written communication
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high standard of work
- A passion for working in the music and events industry and an understanding of the unique hours required around events launches and delivery
- Basic graphic design and/or video editing skills a plus
- Experience using website CMS platforms like WordPress
- Knowledge of the Adobe creative suite
- Previous work in events or music a plus
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or Publicity are ideal but not mandatory
